EastEnders fans are terrified for Honey Mitchell after Bea took revenge on the family when her lies were exposed, causing a brutal incident that left Honey unconscious in the road.
Bea's Lies Exposed
In tonight's episode, Bea (Ronni Ancona) tried to talk her way out of the trouble she had found herself in. Having stolen Honey's (Emma Barton) identity to open a credit card account, Bea tried to convince her friend that it was all a misunderstanding. When that didn't work, she said she only did it so that she could buy things for people and make them like her. It was close to working, until Honey's husband Billy (Perry Fenwick) came home.
A Sick Twist
Billy threw Bea out on her ear. In a fit of rage, Bea flipped the safety lever on his ladder, so that when he went up to clear the drains, he would fall. But in a sick twist, it was Honey who went up the ladder. She fell from the ladder and couldn't be roused by Billy, as Bea watched on from the shadows.
Fan Reactions
Fans were immediately worried for Honey, whose future is now uncertain. One said: "If they've killed off Honey for her to be replaced by bunny boiler Bea, I will riot. RIOT." Another said: "And I hope honeys okay poor girl I really hope she doesn't die." A third added: "I just hope honey makes it bc for the love of god if they kill Honey off in this way after how long she's been in the show that'll just be terrible. And nobody can replace Honey."
A fourth said: "I really hope they don't but I can totally imagine Bea framing Billy for it if she does, or if she's left in hospital."
Actress Speaks Out
Ronni, who plays Bea, has previously said that the storyline is about to get very dark for Honey amid Bea's love for her and hatred of Billy. "It's going to get so much darker for Honey and Billy. I would say that Bea increasingly spirals, and she becomes more dangerous as a result," Ronni says.
She adds: "I think Bea almost blacks out with anger. There is something in her that switches when she is triggered, and at that point her actions become deeply malevolent. I think there's a really interesting point here that she is very desperate. She knows time is running out for her, and I think that fuels her. It's like a warped sense of self-preservation. I think she is horribly lonely, and I think it's catastrophically damaging for her. She sees in Honey a chance of something real, and she's not ready to give it up."
