Rumours of a rift between Jeremy Clarkson and Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have resurfaced after the couple were notably absent from footage of a Corrs concert in the latest series of Clarkson's Farm.
DeGeneres and de Rossi were seen partying at Clarkson's Cotswolds pub, The Farmer's Dog, in November 2024, with Clarkson's partner Lisa Hogan sharing a video of them online. Their appearance at an intimate Corrs gig confirmed their move to Oxfordshire after leaving the US following Donald Trump's election.
Viewers noticed that the couple were missing from any footage of the concert in the new series of Clarkson's Farm, sparking speculation of a rift. Clarkson teased in episode two: 'Some very special guests are inbound,' but neither DeGeneres, de Rossi, nor fellow celebrities Natalia Imbruglia and James Blunt appeared in the TV footage.
Last year, it was reported that Hogan's decision to share the video may have started a rift. An insider said: 'The interest around them was frenzied... This didn't enamour Ellen and Portia with the area and was in some part why they eventually moved away.' Clarkson denied a feud, calling DeGeneres 'lovely' and 'friendly'.
Further reports suggested that refilling DeGeneres' 56ft-long swimming pool might have caused water shortages at Clarkson's pub during its chaotic opening. The couple later sold their farmhouse for £22.5 million and moved to a new home nearby, also reportedly buying a $27 million mansion in Montecito.
