Emma Willis Joked to Avoid Strictly by Former Pros

Emma Willis has been cheekily warned to steer clear of Strictly Come Dancing by the show's professional dancers. The presenter, reportedly set to take over as host after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepped down, was told 'don't ever do Strictly' during a light-hearted moment on This Morning.

Appearing as a guest host on the ITV show alongside Joel Dommett, Emma demonstrated her 'sofa dancing' moves to former Strictly professionals James Jordan, Brendan Cole, Pasha Kovalev, and Ian Waite. As she swayed on the sofa, James interjected: 'If you do it like that, don't ever do Strictly.' Brendan added: 'I had a couple of partners like that.'

Despite the teasing, Emma is said to have impressed BBC bosses during chemistry tests and is expected to accept the hosting role. A source told The Sun: 'Emma has been offered the Strictly job and is going to accept. She absolutely nailed the chemistry tests and the BBC adore her.'

The BBC has not confirmed the new host, with a spokesperson stating: 'Plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course.' Tess and Claudia announced their departure in September, saying they 'were always going to leave together.'
