Gladiators star Giant, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, has left his ex-wife heartbroken after moving on with OnlyFans model Taylor Ryan. The 40-year-old athlete was reportedly axed from the BBC show over his partner's steamy content on the subscription site. His ex-wife, Katie Christian, has spoken out about the hurtful news.
Jamie and Katie surprised friends and family when they split at the end of 2025 after 13 years of marriage. The decision was attributed to the pressures of fame and his demanding bodybuilding lifestyle. However, Katie took to Instagram to express her dismay at his new relationship.
She wrote: "Finding out about a new relationship so soon has been a shock. It's hurtful and it's painful to take in, especially as I'm still processing the breakdown of my marriage of 13 years. We're not even divorced yet, which makes this even harder to sit with."
Giant's Exit from Gladiators
Giant, who is 6ft 5in and from Derbyshire, has been on Gladiators since its comeback in 2024. But his time on the show is over, and he believes he knows why. He told The Mirror that his exit was linked to his relationship with Taylor Ryan, 28, a content creator.
He said: "After three incredible seasons on Gladiators, I was shocked and disappointed to learn that I wouldn't be returning to the show for season four. This news followed shortly after I had shared plans to go public with my relationship."
Giant defended his girlfriend, saying: "My partner, Taylor, is someone I'm incredibly proud of. While she is known for her work on OnlyFans, that is just one part of what she does. She is a business-minded entrepreneur, someone who dedicates her time to fostering dogs and genuinely one of the kindest people I've ever met."
Child Safeguarding Concerns
During conversations with the BBC, "child safeguarding" was raised as an issue. Giant, who shares two children with Katie, said: "I want to be clear that I have always upheld the standards expected of me, both professionally and personally. Being a positive role model has always been central to who I am, on and off screen."
He added: "Looking ahead to building a future and starting a family together, this has been a difficult decision to process. I've always been fully committed to Gladiators, and I remain grateful for the opportunities and support I've received."
The Mirror contacted the BBC for comment. A Gladiators spokesperson previously stated: "After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We'd like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future."
