Katie Price Ordered to Surrender TikTok Income Over Bankruptcy

Katie Price has suffered a significant financial setback after a judge ordered the suspension of payments from her TikTok account as part of efforts to recover debts from her two bankruptcies. The 46-year-old former glamour model, who was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March 2024, earns thousands weekly from the platform, which boasts over 1.6 million followers.

At a remote hearing on Monday, Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton ruled it was “appropriate” to halt further payments to Price from TikTok until a solution is found. The order follows a previous ruling in February that required Price to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult website OnlyFans into a trustee-controlled account until February 2027.

Barrister Darragh Connell, representing the trustee, told the court that while “some progress has been made,” investigations into how TikTok could comply with the order were ongoing. He expressed “real concern” that “potentially substantial sums” could flow to Price from TikTok without the suspension, making recovery difficult.

TikTok’s lawyer, Lauren Kreamer, revealed that the platform had paid Price £84,000 for a three-month agreement to create e-commerce content, which has now ended. Additional payments included £9,989.92 and smaller sums ranging from £18.99 to £277.49, believed to be commissions from third-party purchases. Kreamer assured the court that TikTok was “endeavouring to comply” and was not being “obstructive or difficult.”

Price, who was not present at the hearing and had no legal representation, is due to face further questioning over her finances on August 27. A judge earlier this month ordered her to attend that hearing “with no ifs or buts,” following her arrest at Heathrow Airport after a warrant was issued for failing to attend a previous court date.
