It was a case more bizarre than any Hollywood script. And that's exactly what law enforcement initially took it for. Denise Huskins and Aaron Quinn were woken by a strange man's voice and flashlights in their faces inside Quinn's home in Vallejo, California, back in March 2015. Quinn was bound and drugged while Huskins was kidnapped and held captive for two days. When she was freed two days later, the nightmare ramped up as police accused the couple of fabricating an elaborate hoax akin to the Gone Girl movie.
More Than a Decade Later
Now, more than a decade on from the abduction and two years after they shared their story in Netflix's American Nightmare, Huskins and Quinn say the whole truth about their ordeal is yet to surface. In this week's newsletter, the couple tell The Crime Desk about the mysteries that remain - and how a pair of legs and multiple cars raise questions about the official story of that terrifying night.
