Netflix has confirmed the cancellation or conclusion of 15 shows in 2026, continuing its trend of culling content despite being a leading streamer. Among the notable endings is Emily in Paris, which will finish after its upcoming sixth season. Creator Darren Star thanked fans, saying, 'Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.'
The Lincoln Lawyer, starring Manuel Garcia Rulfo, will end with its fifth season, currently in production. The show was originally scrapped by CBS in 2020 before Netflix revived it. The Night Agent, a popular thriller, will conclude with a fourth season, expected in 2027. The third season aired in February 2026 to general acclaim.
Other cancellations include With Love, Meghan, ending after two seasons due to the conclusion of Netflix's partnership with Archewell. Survival of the Thickest, starring Michelle Buteau, will finish with its third season, premiering July 2. The Western drama The Abandons, featuring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, was canceled after one season in January 2026.
Netflix's reboot of Star Search with Anthony Anderson and judges Jelly Roll, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Chrissy Teigen was axed after a single season. The Selling Sunset spin-off Selling the City reportedly ended after one season, though unconfirmed. Spanish comedy Alpha Males will end with a sixth season, while Netflix France's Bandi was canceled after one season despite strong viewership.
Other shows ending include Spanish hospital drama Breathless and several others. Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria previously stated, 'Netflix has always been the pioneer. The innovator.' However, for these 15 shows, the gamble did not pay off.
