Olivia Nuzzi accuses ex Ryan Lizza of 'revenge porn' in media feud

Vanity Fair editor Olivia Nuzzi has accused her former fiancé, journalist Ryan Lizza, of publishing 'revenge porn' after he detailed her alleged affairs in a series of Substack posts. The posts, released ahead of Nuzzi's new book, claim she had relationships with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford.

In a post on Emily Sundberg's Substack newsletter, Nuzzi described Lizza's allegations as 'another attempt to harass, humiliate, and harm me until I am as destroyed as he seems to be.' She called the posts 'obsessive and violating fan fiction-slash-revenge porn,' arguing they would not meet publication standards at any legitimate outlet.

Lizza's posts included excerpts from a supposed 'love letter' Nuzzi sent to Sanford in 2020, as well as erotic poetry Kennedy allegedly wrote to her in 2024. Lizza told The Independent, 'Telling the truth is not harassment.'

Nuzzi's new book, published Tuesday, details a relationship with a man she calls 'The Politician,' widely speculated to be Kennedy. A spokesperson for Kennedy previously denied any romantic involvement, stating he met Nuzzi only once for an interview.
