Carol Vorderman has channelled Meghan Trainor for her appearance on Channel 5's Lip Sync Battle UK, shaking her award-winning rear in a figure-hugging denim outfit. The 55-year-old former Countdown star performed Trainor's hit 'All About That Bass' for the show, which airs on Monday.
Vorderman, who has twice been voted Rear of the Year, told Martin Kemp, her opponent from Spandau Ballet, to 'be a good loser' ahead of their battle. She also plans to take on Kemp's own hit 'Gold' during the episode.
The star, an MBE and trained pilot, said she had been preparing for the competition for years. 'I think this will be the most momentous occasion of my life,' she added.
Host Professor Green appeared impressed with Vorderman's confidence as she owned the stage in towering heels, shaking out her tousled locks. The performance marked a departure from her usual daytime television persona.
