Simon Cowell has heaped praise on Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands, calling him 'one of the best' talent show judges in the world. The British music mogul made the comments during an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday.
'I'm not just saying that, I really do think you are one of the best judges of all the shows we do. I really, really love the work you've done,' Cowell said. Sandilands, 48, was clearly surprised by the compliment, replying: 'Oh well, thank you very much. That's very nice.'
Cowell, 60, is known for his blunt judging style on shows like American Idol, Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor. Sandilands has served on the panels of Australian Idol, Australia's Got Talent and The X Factor Australia.
The praise comes after Sandilands impressed fans with a party trick last week, where he cleanly sliced the neck off a beer bottle with a knife during a video posted to the show's Instagram page.
