ITV viewers have one pressing question as the reality show The Vardys came to an end on Thursday night. The three-part series followed footballer Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah as they relocated from Leicester to a luxurious home on Lake Garda in Italy.
Fans Demand Second Series
After the finale aired on June 4, many fans took to social media to ask whether the show would return for a second series. One viewer wrote on Instagram: 'Watched all three episodes last night, loved it... will there be a second series?' Rebekah Vardy, during a Q&A on her Instagram Story, responded: 'We only ever agreed to do three episodes, but we will see. It's a busy time right now.'
Viewers See a Different Side
Numerous viewers commented that the series revealed a different side of Rebekah. When one fan called her a 'great mum and wife,' she replied: 'A villain makes a better story than the real person, I guess. Sometimes it's easier to believe a headline than think for yourself.' She added: 'A lot of people built careers on getting me wrong. I'm really not as scary as they want you to believe.'
The show documented the family's adjustment to Italian life, including a break-in at their new home. A synopsis stated: 'After a difficult and dramatic five years in the UK, Rebekah is ready for the next chapter - but uprooting and moving to Italy with four kids (plus a superstar footballer husband) is not exactly what she had in mind.'
