A new documentary airing tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm delves into the mysterious 1995 murders of three Essex drug dealers, known as the 'Range Rover murders'. Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe were shot dead at point-blank range in their 4x4 vehicle. The two-part programme features interviews with former criminals and detectives who share their insights into the case.
Despite two convictions and numerous conspiracy theories, the documentary suggests that the full truth remains unclear. The case inspired the film franchise 'Rise of the Footsoldier'. The programme aims to piece together what exactly happened on that fateful night.
Other highlights tonight include the return of 'Springwatch' at 8pm on BBC Two, with Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan broadcasting from the National Trust's Crom estate in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, at 9pm on BBC Two, historian Lucy Worsley concludes her exploration of Britain's 18th-century split from its American colonies.
