Twins Found Embracing After Fatal Electrocution in Italy

Twin brothers Francesco and Giacomo Fierloni, 22, were found dead in each other's arms after being electrocuted in Magione, Italy. The incident occurred when they were training their pet birds for the upcoming hunting season.

According to reports, a pigeon landed on high-voltage cables carrying approximately 20,000 volts, about 10 metres from the ground. One of the twins used a carbon-fibre pole to try to shoo the bird away, inadvertently touching the live wires and dying instantly. His brother attempted to help but suffered the same fate.

When the twins failed to return home and did not answer their phones, their father Giorgio went searching for them. He tracked their location and found them lying together in tall grass beneath an embankment, locked in an embrace.

The brothers were just a month away from their 23rd birthdays. Town mayor Massimo Lagetti, who knew them personally, described them as “two exceptional young men who worked with great dedication and were always extremely kind.” Their parents said: “Francesco and Giacomo were our strength, our present and our future. They were born together and they left together, united by a bond that went beyond brotherhood.”

An investigation is under way to determine the exact details of the incident.
