The BBC has released a preview trailer for the upcoming episodes of Casualty, offering a glimpse of the final moments for the iconic character Charlie Fairhead. The trailer ends with a cliffhanger showing Charlie's hospital badge splattered in blood, leaving fans to speculate about his fate.

Thompson said: 'The time has come for me to hang up Charlie's scrubs after the most wonderful 37 years.' He credited real-life nurse Pete Salt as the inspiration for the character. Executive Producer Jon Sen promised a 'brilliant' exit, noting that Thompson came up with the idea for the storyline.
