Andrew Tate Loses Boxing Debut in Dubai: Bisping Mocks 'Hilariously Bad' Fight
Andrew Tate beaten in Dubai boxing debut

Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate has been defeated in his long-awaited return to combat sports, losing his professional boxing debut in Dubai on Saturday night.

Tate Outlasted by Champion DeMoor

The high-profile bout saw Tate face reigning Misfits Boxing heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor. After a gruelling six-round contest, the American fighter emerged victorious by majority decision. The official scorecards were tallied at 57-57, 58-56, and 58-56 in DeMoor's favour.

This marked Tate's first fight in five years, and the ring rust appeared to show as the contest progressed. The influencer, known to his followers as 'Top G', started brightly, using his speed to land effective jabs and body shots in the early rounds.

Bisping's Scathing Verdict on the Bout

The quality of the boxing, however, was heavily criticised by combat sports veterans. Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping did not hold back in his assessment, taking to social media to mock the spectacle.

"God, they both suck... this is hilariously bad," Bisping posted online, piling scorn on both competitors' performances in the ring.

How the Fight Unfolded in the Desert

After Tate's promising start, the momentum shifted decisively in the third round. DeMoor began to impose his significant size and strength advantage, frequently clinching with Tate to wear him down—a tactic that drew boos from sections of the Dubai crowd.

The final rounds saw a visibly exhausted Tate in serious trouble. DeMoor hurt him with a series of powerful uppercuts in the fifth and sixth, causing the Briton to wobble on multiple occasions. Despite the onslaught, Tate showed resilience to survive until the final bell.

In a post-fight reaction, a dejected Tate conceded that his lengthy hiatus and age were factors in the loss. He praised DeMoor's toughness and philosophically stated, "It's better to try and lose than to not try at all."

While acknowledging the defeat, Tate hinted that his boxing journey may not be over. He said he would review the fight footage before making a definitive decision on his future in the sport.
