Aqib Fiaz Vows to Send Jordan Flynn to Misfits Boxing in Manchester Grudge Match
Fiaz plans to send rival Flynn to Misfits Boxing

British lightweight Aqib Fiaz has issued a brutal warning to domestic rival Jordan Flynn ahead of their highly-anticipated grudge match in Manchester next month, vowing to beat him so convincingly he ends up in the world of influencer boxing.

A Chilling Warning Ahead of Manchester Showdown

The two fighters are set to clash on January 24 at the Co-Op Arena in Manchester, featuring on the undercard of Moses Itauma's bout with Jermaine Franklin. The contest is guaranteed to produce fireworks as a genuine bad-blood feud finally gets settled in the ring.

Fiaz, the 26-year-old from Oldham, is rebuilding his career after suffering his first professional defeat to Reece Bellotti. After over a year out, he returned with a third-round knockout of Lydon Chircop in February before edging a tight decision win over late-replacement Alex Murphy in July.

No Love Lost in Bitter Rivalry

The animosity between Fiaz and Flynn intensified earlier this year after Fiaz's close friend, Cameron Vuong, defeated Flynn. Now, with their fight official, Fiaz is promising a destructive performance to prove his superiority.

In an exclusive interview, Fiaz did not hold back, labelling Flynn an "idiot" and suggesting his future lies outside the traditional sport. "I would like to see him in Misfits Boxing or something like that because he is more suited to that," Fiaz stated bluntly.

He added a stark prediction for the fight itself: "I am going to beat him up. There is no way he beats me. I am going to outbox him and out fight him. I cannot see him doing anything that troubles me... I reckon I am truly levels above him."

Looking Beyond Flynn to a Big 2026

While fully focused on the challenge of Flynn, Fiaz is already eyeing a major year in 2026. He firmly ruled out a rematch with Alex Murphy, despite calls for a second fight, insisting he is now targeting bigger challenges.

"Alex Murphy wanted that fight again, but it didn’t make sense for me," Fiaz explained. "I took it on five days’ notice... I have put it behind me and I am now looking forward to bigger and better things."

All eyes will now be on the Co-Op Arena on January 24 to see if Fiaz can make good on his chilling promise and take a decisive step towards the top of the domestic lightweight scene.
