Cycling Mikey Returns to Scene of Viral Bike Push

Controversial vigilante cyclist Michael Van Erp, known online as Cycling Mikey, has returned to the scene of a confrontation where he pushed his bicycle into a car during a dispute over road access. The incident occurred on Paddenswick Road in Hammersmith, west London, and was captured on his helmet camera.

In the five-minute expletive-laden clip, Van Erp argued with a driver attempting to pass roadworks, claiming there was a no entry sign. He stood in front of the vehicle, shouting: 'What is that sign back there? You have to go back now... very naughty.' The driver reversed but then attempted to enter the road again, prompting Van Erp to push his bike into the car, smashing it into pieces.

Van Erp, 52, who works as a carer and roller-skating instructor, has gained notoriety for reporting motorists to the police. He claims to have caught over 2,000 offenders since 2006, including celebrities Frank Lampard, Chris Eubank, and Guy Ritchie. His videos have resulted in 2,649 penalty points, £165,000 in fines, and 35 driving disqualifications.

However, Van Erp has also faced criticism for his own conduct. Last year, he was filmed cycling through a red light in Belgravia. In this latest incident, he told The Telegraph: 'I did not throw the bike at his car. I just wanted to block him, but his unexpectedly savage acceleration and my slightly late reaction meant we ended up on a collision course.'

The Metropolitan Police have not commented on the incident. Van Erp's YouTube channel, which has nearly 120,000 subscribers, continues to feature his confrontations with drivers.
