Amad's Future at Man Utd in Doubt After Cryptic Social Media Post

Amad Diallo's future at Manchester United has come under scrutiny after the 23-year-old posted a cryptic message on social media. The Ivorian winger, who has been a key player under interim manager Michael Carrick, was dropped to the bench for the recent matches against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

Carrick explained his decision to leave out Amad for the Palace game, praising the player's attitude and versatility. 'It's not as if from week to week that all of a sudden we're really a fan of certain players and then the next week you're on the bench, and we don't like you anymore,' Carrick said. 'Amad has been massive for us. He's such a dream to work with. His attitude, he's so positive, he wants to learn.'

However, between the Palace and Newcastle fixtures, Amad posted an image of himself celebrating in a United kit on Snapchat with the caption: 'What is meant to grow does not stay in the same place forever.' The post has been interpreted by some as a hint that he may be considering a move away from Old Trafford.

Amad was previously deployed as a right wing-back by former manager Ruben Amorim, a decision that drew criticism from former Premier League boss Tony Mowbray. 'Why would you be so stuck on one system and trying to force Amad as a right wing-back?' Mowbray said. 'Amad, who's a brilliant footballer, Man United class... he's a genius.'

Since Carrick took over, Amad has been pushed into a more attacking role on the right flank. Despite being dropped for the last two games, Carrick insists the decision was tactical and not a reflection of the player's form. 'It's a little bit on certain games, certain types, certain strengths,' Carrick added.
