Andy Murray will coach Jack Draper on the grass this summer after the injury-plagued 24-year-old announced a shake-up to his team. Draper, who has struggled with injury over the past year, has parted ways with Jamie Delgado – who also used to coach three-time Grand Slam winner Murray – after six months together.
Murray, who retired in 2024, entered the world of coaching with 24-time major winner Novak Djokovic, but the pair discontinued their partnership after six months of largely underwhelming results. Yet a decade on from his second SW19 triumph, 38-year-old Murray will support Draper for the grass-court season.
Draper has previously revealed how he looks up to Murray as a mentor. “I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months,” Draper said in a statement. “He is a world-class coach and a great man. In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grass court season.”
