Arsenal are through to the 2026 Champions League final after a 1-0 victory over Atlético Madrid at the Emirates Stadium secured a 2-1 aggregate win. Bukayo Saka's first-half goal proved decisive, sending the Gunners to Budapest for the showpiece event on 30 May.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised his team's togetherness and the support of the fans, saying: 'It's an amazing night … to live this kind of moment with our people is an incredible feeling.' He highlighted Viktor Gyökeres's work-rate as key to setting the tone.
Declan Rice described the dressing room as 'chaos' and noted the club's progress after narrow losses in previous seasons. 'We kept pushing each other … we've gone full throttle and find ourselves in a very good position,' he said.
Arsenal remain the only unbeaten side in this year's competition, having not conceded a goal from open play in the knockout phase. They have lost just two of their last 24 Champions League matches, though both were against potential final opponents Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners now turn their attention to the Premier League title race, where three wins from their remaining matches against West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace would secure their first league crown in 22 years.
