Enzo Fernandez Fuels Real Madrid Speculation With Transfer Hint

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has sparked fresh speculation about a potential move to Real Madrid after hinting at a desire to live in the Spanish capital. During a Kick stream with Marcos Giles, the Argentine said: 'I'd like to experience, I don't know, live there. I really like Madrid, it reminds me a lot of Buenos Aires.'

When told he could achieve that by joining Getafe, Rayo Vallecano, or Atletico Madrid, Fernandez grinned, with the implication of a Real Madrid switch clear. The 25-year-old has previously made ambiguous comments about his future, stating after Chelsea's Champions League exit: 'There are eight games left and the FA Cup. There's the World Cup and then we'll see.'

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior revealed he spoke with Fernandez about the remarks, saying: 'He made it really, really clear to me how happy he is here at this club, how much he wants to win. He also said that in translation and in emotion, things get misconstrued.' Rosenior insisted Fernandez is fully committed to Chelsea.

Fernandez has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, but a move to Real Madrid appears more likely as the Spanish giants seek to bolster their midfield. Chelsea currently sit sixth in the Premier League, battling for Champions League qualification.
