A former star of Clarkson's Farm has hinted at a potential return to the Prime Video series, while providing an update on her television career. Harriet Cowan, who temporarily stepped in as a farmhand during the fourth season, left the show in May last year after Kaleb Cooper returned from his tour. However, the Derbyshire-based nurse has since given up her day job and is now balancing several television projects alongside her growing presence on social media.
Harriet Cowan's Career Shift
Speaking on the Fed by Farmers podcast, Harriet explained her decision to quit nursing: "I've given up nursing because I was going into people's houses and I was getting recognised as that girl off the telly. I was supposed to be there as a professional nurse – there were people dying at the end of the day and I was supposed to be there as a professional." She also noted the overwhelming stress of juggling social media, nursing, farming, and brand deals. "In black and white I don't need the money. I was working all week and I'd be earning 34k a year but I just did not need that, that was nothing you can earn in the social media game," she added.
New TV Projects and Brand Deals
Harriet revealed that she has "a few new TV things coming off too which I'm very excited about." Since her television debut, she has secured several advertising deals, with Aldi being her biggest brand partnership yet. "Aldi's the biggest (brand) yet, British beef. I'm seeing them next week – I don't know what they're getting me to do yet," she shared, adding that it is good publicity for Aldi.
Return to Clarkson's Farm?
When asked about a potential return to season five of Clarkson's Farm, Harriet hinted: "I'm not allowed to say, you'll have to see. It's top secret." The new series is confirmed to premiere on Wednesday, 3 June, with two additional episodes released a week later on 10 June, followed by the final two episodes on 17 June. According to Prime Video, Jeremy Clarkson decides that significant changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly, amid a government budget that sparks uproar in the farming community. The synopsis adds: "But while the farm tries to go high-tech – resulting in Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad – even bigger developments are heading for Diddly Squat that are going to prove much more of a challenge." Seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Prime Video now.
