EFL Play-Off Finals: Hull vs Middlesbrough TV Guide

The 2025/26 EFL season reaches its climax this weekend as six clubs battle it out for promotion at Wembley Stadium. Over the Bank Holiday weekend, the remaining sides from the Championship, League One, and League Two will contest their respective play-off finals.

Championship Final: Hull vs Middlesbrough

In the Championship, Hull City and Southampton secured second-leg victories to clinch their spots in the final. However, the Spygate scandal resulted in Southampton being thrown out of the play-offs. As a result, Middlesbrough will now take on Hull at Wembley for a coveted Premier League place. The match kicks off on Saturday, May 23 at 3:30 PM.

League One and League Two Finals

League One sides Bolton Wanderers and Stockport County kept clean sheets across both semi-final legs to progress. Their final is on Sunday, May 24 at 1 PM. In League Two, Salford City and Notts County scraped through with narrow victories, meeting on Monday, May 25 at 3 PM.

How to Watch on TV

All three EFL play-off finals will be shown live on Sky Sports. The Championship and League One finals will air on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, while the League Two final will be exclusively on Sky Sports Football. These channels are available via Sky TV packages, such as the £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes full Sky Sports coverage across nine dedicated channels, plus more than 135 channels and free subscriptions to Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+. Customers must sign up for a 24-month contract to secure this deal, granting access to over 1,000 EFL and Premier League matches across the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. Existing Sky customers can add Sky Sports channels from £20 per month. Note that prices may change during the minimum contract term.

Last-Minute Tickets

While clubs managed their own ticket allocations, supporters can still purchase official tickets through Seat Unique for VIP and hospitality packages. These include premium seating and complimentary food and beverage options. Prices start at £199 for the Championship final, £125 for League One, and £75 for League Two per person. Supporters should be aware that some packages grant entry to neutral sections at Wembley, meaning opposition fans may be present. Wembley Stadium also offers its own hospitality packages, though many have already been sold.
