Emmerdale will reveal what Sam Dingle and Ross Barton are hiding next week, as their shifty behaviour leads to an accusation of arson. The pair have been meeting in secret on Robert Sugden's farm land, owned by the Tates, and are desperate to keep their activities under wraps. They agree to concoct a cover story, but their weird behaviour continues, prompting Aaron Dingle to fear the worst.
Aaron and Robert Suspect Arson
Aaron and his partner Robert query whether Sam and Ross could be involved in the recent fires on the farm. When a second fire is discovered next week, Aaron and Robert vow to expose the arsonist. Meanwhile, Sam and Ross head to one of the barns, where they analyse the space, deciding it is exactly what they need. Ross then gives Sam a lighter and asks him to do the honours, raising further suspicion.
Ross Tries to Deflect Blame
Later, another fire breaks out, and Robert fears someone is targeting him and Aaron. Ross floats the idea that Kev is behind the fires, but he may be trying to throw Robert off the scent. His scaremongering works, as Robert agrees to triple Ross's pay to find the arsonist. However, Aaron soon suspects Ross may be the arsonist and that Sam is involved. Robert listens to his theory, and the duo decide to follow Sam and Ross, convinced they are the fire starters.
What Will They Find?
But what will they discover when they track them? Is someone else causing the fires? All will be revealed very soon. Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw addressed Kev's return, stating that he is back for his son Lewis and to build the Barton family. She confirmed that the door is closed between Robert and Kev, and teased more karaoke for Kev in the future.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
