Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has quashed rumours surrounding the potential departure of star striker Alexander Isak, insisting the Swedish forward remains a key part of his plans.
Recent reports had suggested Liverpool were among several top European clubs monitoring Isak's situation at St James' Park, with the 24-year-old having impressed since his club-record £63m move from Real Sociedad in 2022.
Howe's Firm Stance on Isak's Future
Speaking ahead of Newcastle's Premier League clash, Howe was unequivocal when addressing the transfer speculation: "Alex is absolutely committed to Newcastle United. He's a fantastic player who's integral to what we're building here."
The Magpies boss emphasised that the club has no intention of selling their prized asset, despite financial pressures that have seen them comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules through other player sales this summer.
