Internet star IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, has sent a birthday message to his idol Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portuguese footballer turned 40. The 20-year-old streamer commented on Ronaldo's Instagram post: "Happy birthday Cristiano! Stay Wild and Strong," accompanied by confetti emojis.
IShowSpeed rose to fame during Ronaldo's second stint at Manchester United, known for his passionate support of the player and the club. He was distraught when Ronaldo left United in 2022 and later met him in person in June 2023 after a long pursuit.
The birthday message comes amid rumours linking Ronaldo with a move to Chelsea. However, Ronaldo recently ruled out a return to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon, saying: "I love watching Sporting games; they are my team... but I don’t plan to go back to play there. I think it doesn’t make sense."
IShowSpeed's career has expanded beyond streaming, including participating in The Sidemen charity match and attending the Ballon d'Or ceremony. Most recently, he appeared at WWE's Royal Rumble, where he eliminated Otis before being eliminated by Bron Breakker.
