Liverpool Unveils Forever 20 Sculpture for Diogo Jota

Liverpool Football Club has announced a permanent memorial, the Forever 20 sculpture, at Anfield for striker Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. The memorial honours the two Portuguese brothers who tragically died in a car crash last July. Situated on 97 Avenue, the sculpture incorporates a heart, referencing Jota’s goal celebration, and lyrics from a fan chant. The design ingeniously displays Jota’s retired number 20 and Silva’s number 30 when viewed from different angles. Jota, 28, a Portugal international, was instrumental in Liverpool’s 2024-25 Premier League title win, and scored 65 goals in 182 appearances for the club across five seasons at Anfield.
