Matt Fitzpatrick will head into the Masters on a high after revealing that he and his wife, Katherine, are expecting their first child. The 31-year-old English golfer shared the news on social media, with Katherine posting two black-and-white photographs highlighting her baby bump.
Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, secured his first PGA Tour victory in three years at the Valspar Championship last month. He now heads to Augusta National in good spirits, knowing any strong performance will benefit his growing family.

The announcement caps an exciting period for the Fitzpatrick family. Matt's brother, Alex, claimed his first DP World Tour title at the Hero Indian Open last weekend, making them the first brothers to win in back-to-back weeks on the PGA and DP World Tours.
Alex said: 'I idolise him. I'm just trying to be like him in every way. It can be hard sometimes when you're constantly chasing someone's accolades but luckily it's my brother so it's not horrific.'
Alex added that he planned to meet Matt in Florida to celebrate their successes. 'It has been a good few weeks for the Fitzpatricks,' he said.
