Meadow Walker Steps In for Paul at Fast & Furious Reunion

Meadow Walker stood in for her late father, Paul Walker, at the Fast & Furious reunion photocall during the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, celebrating the franchise's 25th anniversary. Paul, who portrayed Brian O'Conner, tragically died on November 30, 2013, at age 40 in a single-vehicle car crash in Santa Clarita, California. Meadow, now 27, was only 15 at the time.

A Sentimental Tribute

Meadow paid tribute to her father by attending the photocall on the Croisette, looking elegant in a blazer, jeans, and a crisp white shirt paired with two Celine belts. She was joined by Paul's co-stars Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, who kissed Vin Diesel on the cheek during the event.

Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, appeared delighted at the photocall, dressed in a black T-shirt and white jeans. Michelle Rodriguez, known for her role as Letty Ortiz, wore an all-cream ensemble with platform Isabel Marant trainers, while Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto, looked stunning in a cream pinstripe waistcoat and trousers.

The Franchise's Legacy

The 2001 Fast & Furious roared onto the Croisette in spectacular fashion, with the Grand Théâtre Lumière echoing the sound of engines in celebration of the global sensation. The franchise now comprises eleven films, grossing over $7 billion worldwide. Core actors include Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges as Tej, Sung Kang as Han, and Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey.

Universal Pictures announced that a new chapter, Fast Forever, will race into theaters on March 17, 2028.

Signs from Her Father

In 2023, Meadow told E! News at the Fast X premiere in Rome that she receives signs from her father when she needs them most. She shared, 'For me, it's numbers. Four and seven are my dad's favorite numbers. I swear whenever I'm doubting anything or in an argument, I start seeing four and seven everywhere. So I always know it's him.' She added, 'Even yesterday, I was having a moment and the clock bells started ringing. I thought, OK, it's all good, it's gonna be OK.'

Meadow finds comfort being around her Fast family, noting she misses her dad most during moments not associated with the franchise.
