Newsboy has delivered his horse racing selections for Tuesday's four meetings, with Hidden Fortune taking the spotlight as his Nap at Hereford and Hidden Verse as his next best at Bath.
Hereford Racecourse Highlights
Hereford hosts a six-race card on Tuesday, and Newsboy's Nap, Hidden Fortune, runs in the 3.38 Ludford Car Parts Group Mares' Novices' Hurdle. The Irish Point-to-Point winner, trained by Dan Skelton, is expected to improve over hurdles after a close second to odds-on Moore Brion in a two-mile bumper at Market Rasen last time, finishing just one and a half lengths behind. Moore Brion has since won another bumper at Uttoxeter, boosting the form. Hidden Fortune is bred to relish the step up in trip by three furlongs. Kittys Glance, who won at Huntingdon after a wind operation, poses a threat but carries a 7lb penalty, swinging the race in Hidden Fortune's favour.
Bath Selection: Hidden Verse
At Bath, Hidden Verse (2.50, nb) is fancied to bounce back from a disappointing run at Pontefract last time in the Bath Mind Charity Confined Handicap over five furlongs. The Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole-trained four-year-old faded to fifth of six behind Betweenthesticks, but previous form over course and distance saw him beaten only two and a quarter lengths by Twilight Madness. This race appears weaker than his recent contests.
