Ronda Rousey will make a sensational return to the MMA cage later this evening when she takes on fellow women's MMA legend Gina Carano. 'Rowdy' - a former UFC women's bantamweight champion - has not fought since suffering a brutal first round knockout defeat to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 back in 2016. Prior to the loss, the 39-year-old saw her UFC gold strap snatched away from her after being knocked out by Holly Holm. Her last win inside the cage came back in 2015 when she needed just under a minute to render Bethe Correia unconscious.
Stepping across the cage from her this evening, Carano has had to wait a little longer for her MMA comeback. The Hollywood star's last appearance was way back in 2009 - when she retired following a knockout loss to Cris Cyborg. Here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight's fights.

Quotes corner
Ronda Rousey: "If this is the kind of fight that forces a trilogy, that would be hard to say no to. But I just feel like this is the perfect closure and the perfect way to walk away and say goodbye. In MMA, fate has brought us together to be able to show everybody the absolute best that we have on the biggest stage in the world one last time. She's the one that inspired me to do this in the first place and she's the one that inspired me to come back. I wasn't like 'oh I feel like I need a fight, I need to pick Gina'. I saw Gina and was like 'she makes me want to fight one more time, for the last time'. And we can both offer each other a chance at redemption."
Gina Carano: "I'm getting the best and most dangerous version of Ronda Rousey without a doubt. She's got a very specific set of skills that make her extremely dangerous to human beings. I don't care what people say about age. When you get older, you get wiser and you get more dangerous."
