Royal Ascot 2026: Bright Tomato Named Colour of the Year

Royal Ascot has announced that Bright Tomato is the colour of the year for 2026, as revealed in its annual Style Guide produced in partnership with luxury cruise brand Cunard. The guide, now in its eighth year, predicts key fashion trends for the summer event, which runs from 18th to 22nd June.

The Style Guide highlights monochrome dressing, statement bows, and tailored women's wear as key trends for the season. For men, mixed textures and bold colours are expected to dominate formal wear. Featured designers include Emilia Wickstead, Victoria Beckham, and Erdem, alongside high street brands like Karen Millen and H&M.

The guide provides outfit suggestions for each enclosure, adhering to strict dress codes. In the Royal Enclosure, women must wear skirts of modest length (falling just above the knee or longer) and hats with a solid base of at least 4 inches; fascinators are not permitted. Men are required to wear black or grey morning dress with a top hat.

In the Queen Anne Enclosure, strapless and sheer dresses are banned, and midriffs must be covered. The Village Enclosure allows jumpsuits and trousers for women. Stylist Prue White curated the looks, photographed by Luìs Monteiro.
