Salah's Wife Dislikes 'Hospital-Like' Home as Liverpool Exit Looms

Mohamed Salah is set to play his final game for Liverpool on Sunday, ending a nine-year stint at Anfield. The Egyptian forward is expected to leave the UK for his next club after the match against Brentford.

Salah lives in Cheshire's 'golden triangle' neighbourhood, where his home is equipped with extensive fitness facilities including gyms, a hyperbaric chamber, and cryotherapy equipment. However, his wife Magi reportedly dislikes the clinical appearance, comparing it to a hospital.

In a 2022 interview with L'Equipe, Salah said: 'Two rooms in our house are dedicated to different fitness machines. At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber. I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition. It's true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn't like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!'

Salah, 33, met Magi while they were at school in Egypt. The couple have two daughters. Salah's net worth is estimated at £104 million, largely from his Liverpool contract worth around £20m per year.

During his time at Liverpool, Salah won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the Community Shield. He leaves as the club's third-highest scorer.

In a new LFCTV documentary, Salah said: 'I decided in the end, you know what, this is the right thing for me to do. I have peace with the decision... You're leaving the club, you feel the love and appreciation from the fans, it means everything.'
