England manager Thomas Tuchel is set to announce the 26-player squad for the 2026 Fifa World Cup, with the Three Lions aiming to end a 60-year wait for a major trophy. The official squad announcement will take place on Friday 22 May at 9:45 AM BST from Wembley Stadium in London, with Tuchel scheduled to speak to the media afterwards.
England's Group Stage Opponents
England have been drawn into Group L for the tournament, where they will face Croatia, Ghana, and Panama in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Their World Cup campaign begins against Luka Modric’s Croatia on 17 June in Arlington, Texas, followed by matches against Ghana on 23 June in Boston and Panama on 27 June in New York.
Pre-Tournament Preparations
Following the squad reveal, the team will travel to Florida in early June for a pre-World Cup training camp, which includes friendly internationals against New Zealand on 6 June and Costa Rica on 10 June.
