President Trump Sinks Impressive Chip in Star-Studded Round

Former President Donald Trump once again put his golfing talent on full display during a high-profile round this past Saturday. He was joined on the course by an elite sporting trio: five-time major golf champion Brooks Koepka, NHL icon Wayne Gretzky, and Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

The Viral Moment: A Flawless Chip Shot

Following the game, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to share a video that quickly captured widespread attention. The clip shows a precise moment where, after a couple of practice swings, the former president executes a perfect chip shot. The ball never left the turf, rolling directly into the hole just as a caddie removed the pin.

The success of the shot was met with audible celebration from the background, where an onlooker was heard exclaiming, 'One time!' Trump captioned the post with his characteristic bravado, writing, 'Winning is always nice!'

Ongoing Golf Rivalry and Boasts

This public display is part of a longstanding pattern for Trump, an avid golfer who frequently highlights his prowess on the course. His boasts often extend to criticising the golfing ability of his political rival, current President Joe Biden.

As recently as this week, during a Thanksgiving video call with US military members, Trump was asked about a potential golf match with Biden. He responded by dismissing the incumbent's skills, stating, 'I’ve invited him, but he doesn’t want to show up... Biden can’t hit a ball 30 yards.'

He further contested Biden's past claim of being a six-handicap golfer, recounting a debate exchange where Biden allegedly revised it to an eight. 'I said, "That was quick. I picked up two,"' Trump quipped.

To underscore his own claimed accomplishments, Trump detailed, 'I’ve won 38 club championships... I won one last year. I won a club championship at a big club, beating a 27-year-old kid.' He concluded by affirming his long-standing status as a good golfer.
