Brothers Accused of Racing Luxury Cars into Mansion Gates, Seriously Injuring Teen

Two brothers have appeared in court charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a crash on Sandbanks' millionaire's row left a 17-year-old girl with life-changing injuries. Henry Taylor, 21, and Harrison Taylor, 19, are accused of racing their cars—a BMW 135i and a Mercedes A200—around the exclusive peninsula in Poole Harbour, Dorset, in the early hours of Boxing Day 2023.

The Mercedes, driven by Harrison Taylor, left Banks Road, which has a 30mph speed limit, and collided with a gatepost of a multi-million pound mansion. The front-seat passenger, Mia Savage, had to be cut from the crumpled car and airlifted to Southampton Hospital. Prosecutors said she suffered life-changing injuries.

The brothers, who live with their father Robert at his £1.2m harbourside home in Lilliput, Poole, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court but did not enter pleas. The case was deemed too serious for magistrates and was sent to Bournemouth Crown Court. They were released on unconditional bail and are due to appear next month.
