Tyson Fury returns to the ring tonight for a heavyweight clash against Arslanbek Makhmudov in London, live on Netflix. The fight marks Fury's first bout since his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk 16 months ago, and comes after his fifth retirement from the sport.
Makhmudov, once feared for his 14 consecutive knockouts at the start of his career, has since suffered two defeats and went the distance with Dave Allen last year. The Russian fighter is determined to overcome his fears, stating: 'With Fury, I heard he was looking for an opportunity so I asked if I could fight him. He is a legend... but my time is coming and I know I am going to beat him.'
The main card begins at 7pm, with ring walks expected around 10pm. However, times may change due to earlier bouts potentially ending early. The undercard starts at 3.30pm and will be streamed on Tudum, Netflix's companion website.
Fury's comeback was inspired by a personal tragedy involving Anthony Joshua, who is expected to watch tonight. Fury said: 'Life is very, very short and precious... I made my mind up there and then to come back to boxing.'
Existing Netflix subscribers can watch for free, while non-subscribers can access the stream via Sky's Essential TV bundle (£15) or Ultimate TV bundle (£24), which also includes HBO Max and Disney+.
