Salah Eyes £77m Fenerbahce Move After Liverpool Exit

Mohamed Salah is reportedly keen on a switch to Turkey following his exit from Liverpool, according to a football director in the nation. Salah is hunting for a new club after announcing he would be departing Anfield at the conclusion of the campaign.

Salah's Transfer Demands Revealed

There has been substantial speculation surrounding his next move. Numerous reports have indicated a transfer to Turkey could be imminent, with Fenerbahce strongly linked. During the presidential ballot at the club, candidate Aziz Yildirim revealed details of Salah's supposed transfer demands. 'He would ask for a three-year contract, and the total cost would be €90 million (£77 million),' he stated, via Fanatik. 'If he is our urgent need, we will sign him! Our football committee will decide on these matters.'

Yildirim secured triumph in the election, being appointed as the club's new president. He must now decide whether to chase a deal for Salah or not, but has received encouragement from one member of outgoing president Sadettin Saran's team. Ertan Torunogullari, the football director under Saran, revealed: 'He [Salah] was very keen on coming to Turkey. The meetings he had with us were extremely positive. We had established common ground with him on many issues, including his salary. If the new administration makes such a request, I believe Salah will wear the Fenerbahce jersey. We would gladly work with the new administration on negotiations.'

Next Steps for Fenerbahce

Yildirim is rumoured to be preparing for his inaugural board meeting at the club today, where the idea of recruiting Salah could be discussed. A deal to bring striker Vedat Muriqi back to Fenerbahce is already said to have been agreed upon.

Salah is currently in preparation mode to represent Egypt at the World Cup in North America. He confirmed at the end of the season that his next move would only be decided once the tournament has finished. 'I will still see [about where to go next],' he stated. 'I have time now, I am going to the World Cup, and then everything will be clear, either if there is a good opportunity before it, I will decide, and if it is not there, I will make my decision after the World Cup.'
