Brentford Agree £8m Deal for 18-Year-Old Striker Kaye Furo from Club Brugge
Brentford sign 18-year-old striker Kaye Furo for £8m

Brentford Football Club are on the verge of completing a significant transfer coup, securing the services of highly-rated 18-year-old striker Kaye Furo from Belgian side Club Brugge.

Medical Scheduled for Teenage Prospect

As first revealed by Daily Mail Sport, the Bees have finalised a deal worth an initial £8 million, with potential add-ons included. The young forward is scheduled to undergo his medical examination tomorrow, after which the move is expected to be officially confirmed.

Standing at an imposing 1.90 metres tall, Furo is set to bypass Brentford's B-team setup and integrate directly into Thomas Frank's first-team squad, highlighting the club's belief in his immediate potential.

From Brugge Breakthrough to Brentford

Furo's journey to the Premier League began when he signed his first professional contract with Club Brugge at the age of 15 in 2022. His rapid development was rewarded with a first-team debut in August 2025, coming on as a substitute in a memorable 6-0 Champions League victory over Rangers.

His progress has been closely monitored by Brentford's recruitment team, led by Director of Football Phil Giles. This acquisition continues a clear strategy at the Gtech Community Stadium of identifying and developing young attacking talent for the top flight.

Continuing a Successful Recruitment Strategy

This approach has borne fruit recently, most notably with the signing of 20-year-old Dutch forward Antoni Milambo from Feyenoord last summer. Furthermore, the deal for Furo marks the second major transaction between Brentford and Club Brugge in recent seasons.

Just two years ago, in February 2024, Brentford paid £30 million to bring striker Igor Thiago from Brugge as a long-term replacement for Ivan Toney. That investment has proven spectacularly successful, with Thiago scoring 16 Premier League goals this season, a tally bettered only by Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

The club will hope that Furo can follow a similar trajectory, adding another potent attacking option as they continue to establish themselves in the Premier League.
