Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced that Yves Bissouma will leave the club this summer, as the north London side confirmed their retained list of players. The Mali international, who joined Spurs from Brighton in a £30 million deal in 2022, is one of 11 players departing the club.
Bissouma's Departure Confirmed
Taking to social media, Tottenham expressed gratitude to the outgoing midfielder. The club posted on X, formerly Twitter: "We can confirm the departure of Yves Bissouma following the conclusion of his contract. Thank you for your service and all the best for the future, Biss."
Bissouma made 111 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions. However, his final season was marred by injuries. Knee and ankle problems sidelined him for the entire first half of the campaign, with his first appearance coming on January 17 in a 2-1 defeat to West Ham. He featured only 11 times overall and was an unused substitute in the final three Premier League matches.
Academy Players Also Leaving
Alongside Bissouma, Tottenham confirmed the departure of 10 academy players. Six Under-21 talents — Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Leo Black, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig, and Calum Logan — will leave when their contracts expire. Four Under-18 players are also set to depart: Elijah Upson, who rejected a contract offer, as well as Jamel Beggs, Samal Bangura, and Leon Myrtaj.
Summer Transfer Plans
Manager Roberto De Zerbi faces a busy summer as he looks to strengthen the squad. Tottenham have already secured left-back Andy Robertson on a free transfer from Liverpool. Bournemouth centre-back Marco Senesi is also expected to join as a free agent. Additionally, Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke and Manchester City forward Savinho are on the club's radar.
