Disney has launched a new "Disney Weather Check" app in partnership with AccuWeather, designed to provide accurate and localized weather forecasts for guests across five of its resorts. The app offers a tailored forecasting and alerting system, aiming to help guests efficiently plan their day by providing precise information on conditions like sun and rain.
Detailed Hourly Forecasts
It delivers detailed hourly forecasts specific to each resort, moving beyond general city weather data. The app incorporates AccuWeather's "MinuteCast" feature, which predicts the exact start and stop times of rain or snow at a guest's GPS location. Guests can also access AccuWeather's "RealFeel Temperature" index, which utilizes 14 factors to offer a more precise understanding of how the weather truly feels.
Enhancing Guest Experience
This collaboration is intended to enhance the overall guest experience and support operational leadership by delivering customized, accurate, and actionable weather insights across various Disney properties. Whether guests need sunscreen or a poncho, the app aims to help them prepare for their day at the parks.
