Britons are being urged to exercise extreme caution and reconsider travel plans to certain areas within Turkey, Thailand, and Mexico. The FCDO has categorically advised against all travel to zones near conflict-ridden borders and regions plagued by heightened terrorism risks. Turkey: Border with Syria Deemed High-Risk Zone
The FCDO explicitly advises against all travel within 10 kilometres of the Turkish border with Syria. Thailand: Dual Border Concerns and Transportation Risks
In Thailand, the FCDO has issued warnings for two separate border regions. First, it advises against all but essential travel to parts of the south near the Thailand-Malaysia border, where regular attacks occur in provinces including Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.
