Asda has issued recall notices for three toy products due to safety concerns. The supermarket is asking customers who bought the Hapello Power Train, Stretcherz Stretch Squad Assortment, or Slammerz Assortment Toys to return them for a full refund.
The Hapello Power Train has been recalled because of a choking hazard. Asda stated that the orange steam dome on top of the train may detach, posing a risk to small children. The product was sold between 2024 and 2026, and customers do not need a receipt to return it.
The Stretcherz Stretch Squad and Slammerz toys are being recalled due to potential asbestos contamination. Asda said testing found trace levels of asbestos in the sand-like material inside some products. Although the risk is considered low, the company is taking precautionary action.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards has warned that other retailers may have stocked the toys and will issue further guidance. Asda has removed the items from shelves and urges customers to return them to any store or contact customer services on 0330 053 0111 for a full refund.
