Oprah Winfrey's podcast is moving to Amazon after a multiyear agreement between her production company, Harpo Entertainment, and Amazon-owned Wondery. The deal grants Wondery exclusive distribution and advertising rights for The Oprah Podcast.
Under the terms, the podcast will expand to two new episodes per week starting this summer. Wondery will manage distribution of both audio and video content across Amazon's platforms, including Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible. The podcast will also remain available on YouTube and other platforms.
Amazon has also secured rights to the extensive library of The Oprah Winfrey Show, which aired from 1986 to 2011, as well as her book club and Favorite Things franchises. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Winfrey launched her podcast in December 2024. She said hosting the show 'allows me to continue the work I feel called to do – opening the door for conversations that matter,' adding that expanding its reach 'is an opportunity I embrace.'
The move follows a similar deal in 2024 for New Heights, featuring NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce. Wondery will begin distributing The Oprah Podcast from July.
