Six Man Utd Players Exit as Contracts Expire Today

Six Manchester United players are officially leaving the club today as their contracts expire, headlined by Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who ends a four-year stint at Old Trafford. The club confirmed in January that the 34-year-old would not be offered a new deal, and he is set to join Inter Miami on a free transfer.

First-Team Departures

Left-back Tyrell Malacia and winger Jadon Sancho also see their contracts expire on June 30. Malacia has been weighing up his options after training abroad this month to maintain fitness, while Sancho has spent the last two-and-a-half years on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. Sancho played just 83 games for United in five years after joining for £73 million.

Casemiro's Legacy

Casemiro made 160 appearances for United, winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, and became a fan favorite. Malacia, meanwhile, suffered from persistent injuries during his time at Old Trafford and made only three substitute appearances last season.
