KFC Brings Back Fan-Favourite Hot Rods for Limited Time in Australia
KFC Hot Rods Return to Australian Menus for Limited Time

KFC Australia has announced the return of its cult-favourite menu item, Hot Rods, for a limited time. The popular skewered chicken snack will be available nationwide from Tuesday, May 12, following a two-year absence.

What Are Hot Rods?

Hot Rods feature crispy, golden-coated fried chicken served on a stick, accompanied by a creamy aioli dipping sauce. First introduced in 2007, the snack quickly became a fan favourite and has made intermittent comebacks, most recently in 2024.

Why the Excitement?

The appeal lies in the convenience of a stick, making it an ideal on-the-go snack. It also taps into Australians' love for food on a stick, from chip-on-a-stick to dagwood dogs. KFC Australia CMO Vanessa Rowed said, 'We know Aussies have a soft spot for bold flavour and a bit of fun, and our Hot Rods deliver both in spades.'
