Vodafone Three, the mobile provider formed by the £15 billion merger of Vodafone and Three, has announced a major overhaul of its retail estate, combining the two brands under one roof. The company has pledged to maintain a presence in every town where it currently operates, reaffirming its commitment to the UK high street.
The transformation plan may lead to a small number of store closures in locations where both Vodafone and Three have neighbouring premises. However, the specific sites affected have not been disclosed, and changes are expected to unfold over several years. Crucially, the company has confirmed there are no planned redundancies linked to this shift towards dual-branded stores.
Vodafone Three is set to invest tens of millions of pounds into the programme, aiming to establish the largest retail footprint of any mobile network operator in the UK. The investment will enhance in-store support and advice, introducing new services such as ‘Fix & Go by Vodafone’ for additional repair options. Flagship stores are planned for major cities, including London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Cardiff.
Jon Shaw, consumer operations director at Vodafone Three, said: “We know how important stores like ours are to the health of the high street and the communities which rely on them. From shopping devices, seeking support from our experts or getting their phone repaired, we are proud to serve our customers where they are and reaffirm our commitment to the UK high street. The stores will help bring our brands to more people, offering customers more choice and greater value, as we build the UK’s best network.”
