Country music sensation Jon Pardi brought his Honkytonk Hollywood UK tour to Newcastle City Hall on Tuesday, delivering a high-energy performance packed with chart-topping hits to an enthusiastic crowd of around 2,000 fans.
A Night of Hits and Memories
The American singer, who turned 41 the following night in Glasgow, celebrated his pre-birthday show with a setlist spanning his career. From his latest UK Country Charts number one, Boots Off, to classics like Dirt On My Boots, Pardi had the audience singing along throughout the evening.
Country music's growing popularity was evident as fans donned cowboy hats and boots, joyfully participating in every song. One couple even cheekily requested Pardi perform at their wedding, to which he responded by dedicating Head Over Boots to them and “all the love birds out there.”
Musical Highlights and Surprises
Pardi and his band briefly merged a Bob Marley classic into the set, but it was his own repertoire that kept fans on their feet. Midway through, he introduced Starlight with a touching tribute to his grandmother and later tossed beer holders into the crowd during Beer Can't Fix, his duet with Thomas Rhett.
The encore featured three songs, including Night Shift, leaving fans thoroughly satisfied. Pardi had previously expressed dreams of selling out big venues, and the Newcastle crowd’s enthusiastic response suggests that goal may soon be achieved in the UK.
Support Acts Shine
Support act Alyssa Flaherty impressed with her vocal range, particularly her rendition of Unchained Melody, earning cheers from the crowd. Manchester's Bec O'Malley also kicked off the night strongly with his raspy vocals.
Overall, the show was a resounding success, cementing Pardi's reputation as a captivating live performer.
