British travellers seeking European getaways will soon enjoy expanded options as budget airline easyJet prepares to launch three new routes from UK airports. The carrier's latest expansion includes flights from Newcastle to Rome, Newcastle to Lisbon, and Manchester to Bari, with services commencing from March 2026.
New European Destinations from UK Airports
EasyJet's network enhancement brings first-time connectivity between Newcastle and Rome, with flights scheduled to begin on March 30, 2026. This timing coincides with the Easter holiday period, offering families convenient travel opportunities. The Newcastle to Lisbon route will follow on June 22, 2026, while Manchester to Bari services will launch on July 3, 2026.
Flight Schedule and Pricing Details
All three new routes will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, facilitating extended weekend city breaks. Fares start from £33.99 one-way for Newcastle to Rome, £43.99 for Newcastle to Lisbon, and £38.99 for Manchester to Bari, inclusive of taxes. These competitive prices maintain easyJet's reputation as a budget-friendly carrier.
Package Holiday Options
EasyJet holidays will offer comprehensive package deals for all three destinations, combining flights and hotel accommodations. The packages include 23kg luggage allowance and transfers for Bari beach holidays. Travellers can select from hundreds of hotel options and secure their holiday with a low deposit of just £60 per person.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet's UK country manager, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: "We're excited to be launching new routes and packages from Manchester and Newcastle to three of Europe's popular destinations, providing customers with even more choice and connectivity, whether they're looking for a cultural city getaway or relaxing beach break."
EasyJet's Growing UK Presence
This expansion occurs during easyJet's 30th anniversary year, with the airline planning its largest ever summer flying programme. The carrier will offer more than 50 million seats to and from the UK across its network. EasyJet currently operates from 22 UK airports, serving over 640 routes to more than 140 destinations across Europe and beyond.
Doyle added: "In our 30th year, we are set to operate our biggest ever flying programme this summer, offering more than 50 million seats to and from the UK, and remain committed as we ever have been to making travel easy."
The new routes will be available for booking through easyJet's website and mobile application, providing travellers with multiple booking channels for these enhanced European travel options.
