The full update reads: 'Due to Pope Leo XIV's visit to the Canaries, you may experience sudden road closures in Gran Canaria and enhanced security measures at Canaria Airport. Please allow sufficient time to get to the airport and to your departure gate.'

Jet2 reminded passengers that check-in closes 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. All Jet2.com flights are expected to operate as scheduled, but if a flight incurs a delay, the airline will notify customers via SMS, email, the Jet2 App, and on their website.
